What is ACLAS ?

Academy for Computer Literacy and Academic Skills (ACLAS) is a Non Profit Organization with the initiative to provide Computer Training, Common Entrance and CXC preparation courses to members of the Vincentian community, at little or no cost to them. ACLAS will give the general public access to computers at the going prices in the United States, eliminating the taxes and overheads that venders would generally add to the cost of computers.   Additionally, ACLAS will provide computers and computer accessories to the general public at a very affordable price. The goal is to place a computer in the home of every student over the next five years. ACLAS will provide financial assistance where possible to assist the residents in purchasing the computers. The mission of the organization is to raise the standard of education and the level of computer literacy in St.Vincent and the Grenadines. This will ultimately enhance their quality of lives, and better prepare Vincentians for the job market, give them bargaining power to demand higher wages and choose the careers they desire.
